“”Distant” has to do with existing in someone’s life only for validation,” says singer Jordan Black. “I was on the back burner for three months. Thanks for being an awful person.”
Like Pacific’s first full-length record, Distant Like You Asked, was Produced and engineered by Sam Guaiana at Room 21 Sound in Toronto and features 10 pop-punk anthems including “Distant” and their recently released track “Worthless Case.”
“We worked very hard on this album,” Jordan adds. “I mean…this is our debut full length. It’s got a ton of variety and we went outside of our heavier, comfort zone to make it a little more poppy. We all love pop music haha.”
Like Pacific will join State Champs, Neck Deep and Knuckle Puck on tour in February and March and will round out the dates with a performance at So What?! Music Festival in Grand Prairie, TX on March 19th.

Can't Swim
Bay Area independent label Pure Noise Records welcomes New Jersey based rock band Can’t Swim to the label. The band will release their EP, Death Deserves A Name, on February 26th and has partnered with today to unveil a video for their brand new song “Your Clothes.” Watch the video here:
Can’t Swim’s upcoming Death Deserves A Name EP blends elements of alternative rock, pop-punk and indie rock that are anchored by Chris “Krier” Loporto’s superb songwriting and standout vocals as heard on the band’s first new single “Your Clothes.”
Based out of Keansburg New Jersey, Can’t Swim was founded by Krier in the spring of 2015. After spending most of his life playing drums in various bands, Krier decided to step focus on songwriting. The songs were contagious from the start and grabbed the attention of his good friends Chez, Danny and Greg who would eventually round out the lineup.
The band’s upcoming release marks their first signing with a label and newfound partnership with Pure Noise Records.
“I never really pictured myself being a singer or a songwriter, it was just something I started doing recently to pass the time,” says Krier. “I was sending demos to friends (who later became members of the band) just to bounce ideas off them and get their opinion on different parts of the songs. After they got involved, it started to feel real and not just something I was doing in my bedroom. Shortly after that, the guys over at Pure Noise heard the songs and wanted to be apart of it. From the first conversation we had with them, everything just feels right. It’s a great fit.”
Death Deserves A Name Track List:
1.     Your Clothes
2.     Way It Was
3.     Right Choice
4.     Come Home
5.     Death Deserves A Name

Coheed and Cambria Premiere “Eraser” via Noisey

Coheed and Cambria

Coheed and Cambria share “Eraser,” the third new song made available from the band’s Oct. 16 release of The Color Before The Sun via Noisey (

“To me, ‘Eraser’ embodies the music we grew up on maybe better than any other Coheed song to date,” says drummer Josh Eppard. “We were little sponges in the ‘90s when the Pumpkins and Nirvana were creating a landscape all their own. I hear those bands in our song ‘Eraser’ and I’m extremely proud of that.”

The band is giving fans insight into each of the tracks from The Color Before The Sun with a series of behind-the-scenes videos, which launched last week via Yahoo (“You Got Spirit, Kid” – and continued this Monday via Loudwire (“Here to Mars” – A peek into the making of “Eraser” arrives Oct. 6 via PopMatters.

Maxim Magazine and Rolling Stone included the album in their fall music previews, calling the outfit’s pause in the ongoing Armory Wars “a dramatic departure” (Rolling Stone). The Nerdist, who premiered the band’s hijinks laden video for “You Got Spirit, Kid” (, said the new music “features much of what has made Coheed and Cambria a force for the last two decades.” Overseas, Metal Hammer dubbed the 10-song collection a “vibrant coalition of perfect pop melodies, irrepressible charm and storytelling nous.”

Digital pre-orders for The Color Before The Sun include instant downloads of “You Got Spirit, Kid” and “Here To Mars,” with “Eraser” available tomorrow, Oct. 2.
