Baroness reveal the cover for the band’s fourth album, Purple (Dec. 18, Abraxan Hymns), via a time lapse video that shows John Baizley’s process for creating the album artwork (https://youtu.be/WpUUnRtHbHc). This clip follows fans piecing together quadrants of the album cover that were revealed via t-shirts shipped last week as part of the band’s deluxe album pre-order bundles.
Baizley has done the artwork for all of Baroness’ releases as well as fine art and album art for bands including Skeletonwitch, Black Tusk, Kvelertak and Kylesa. A gallery can be seen at www.aperfectmonster.com.
The latest video is part of a series of clips the band is sharing with fans, documenting the making ofPurple, from line-up changes, to recording and now artwork. The most recent clip focused on the guitar work for the 10-song album arrived via Guitar World (http://bit.ly/1RYWm38) and all four already released videos as well as the video for “Chlorine & Wine” (https://youtu.be/DnYO7iQfQDQ), are viewable via YouTube (www.youtube.com/baronessmusic).
Baroness will head out on a series of intimate club shows in late November, with the bulk of the tour already sold out. Tickets for the available dates can be found via www.yourbaroness.com/tour.

Coheed and Cambria share “Eraser,” the third new song made available from the band’s Oct. 16 release of The Color Before The Sun via Noisey (http://noisey.vice.com/blog/coheed-and-cambria-interview-2015-eraser-stream?3).
“To me, ‘Eraser’ embodies the music we grew up on maybe better than any other Coheed song to date,” says drummer Josh Eppard. “We were little sponges in the ‘90s when the Pumpkins and Nirvana were creating a landscape all their own. I hear those bands in our song ‘Eraser’ and I’m extremely proud of that.”
The band is giving fans insight into each of the tracks from The Color Before The Sun with a series of behind-the-scenes videos, which launched last week via Yahoo (“You Got Spirit, Kid” –http://yhoo.it/1MBuVdF) and continued this Monday via Loudwire (“Here to Mars” – http://bit.ly/1L0A0Nn). A peek into the making of “Eraser” arrives Oct. 6 via PopMatters.
Maxim Magazine and Rolling Stone included the album in their fall music previews, calling the outfit’s pause in the ongoing Armory Wars “a dramatic departure” (Rolling Stone). The Nerdist, who premiered the band’s hijinks laden video for “You Got Spirit, Kid” (https://youtu.be/8eklHJeB6mc), said the new music “features much of what has made Coheed and Cambria a force for the last two decades.” Overseas, Metal Hammer dubbed the 10-song collection a “vibrant coalition of perfect pop melodies, irrepressible charm and storytelling nous.”
Digital pre-orders for The Color Before The Sun include instant downloads of “You Got Spirit, Kid” and “Here To Mars,” with “Eraser” available tomorrow, Oct. 2. Pre-order now via iTunes (http://flyt.it/TheColorBeforeTheSun), Amazon (http://flyt.it/CBTSamz) and GooglePlay (http://flyt.it/CBTSplay). A limited edition, deluxe box set featuring two hardcover books, four different pieces of music housed in a die-cut slipcase and a bevy of exclusive content is available while supplies last at www.coheedandcambria.com.

About 300 Entertainment
Last year, former Def Jam and Warner Music Group recorded music chief Lyor Cohen along with colleagues Todd Moscowitz (ex-Warner Bros president) and Kevin Liles (ex-EVP Warner Music) unveiled 300 Entertainment, a new record label focused on artist development, flexible deal structures, and technology-based partnerships. 300 Entertainment is a platform not only for artists, but also entrepreneurs by giving them access to tools and knowledge to remain independent and to be active participants in their artists’ development.
